09/01/2003 - Happy Labor day everyone. I hope you all are having a nice relaxing day like me. Well I finally did it!! I posted a new Battle Report. Granted its alittle old, but its still fun to read. Its another Flash based one with better photos then the last one. Have a look and let me know your thoughts on it.

Also I found out from fellow Hive Mind Yarium that the EOT is officially over today. I'm really excited to see the final outcome of all this and how it will efct the latest edition of 40k. It looks like the forces of Choas did a good job of showing those goody-2-shoes Forces of Good how its done. Well done to everyone out there!! I hope you all had fun and if you have any good stories to tell or tactics send them in an email to me and I'll post them.

08/28/2003 - I've cleaned up the forums in the EOT and Forum sections. Haven't worked on this site in awhile. The whole work thing has been keeping me really busy ;)

I'm still going to try and post a new Battle Rep, yup the one I was talking about last month, lol. I've started playing a campaign with my friend. It should take a while to complete since he's back in school and I'm working like a fiend. The campaign is focused on the Nids (me) invading a Tau (Gavin) Homeworld. So far we've played on game out of 6 and the Nids won, woo hoo!! I'm not going to make battle reps for these since I obviously am bad about making them in a timely manor. But I'll keep notes and maybe to a brief write up at the end of the campaign.

07/14/2003 - Whew haven't added an entry to this journal in awhile. I've cleaned up the forms today. Alphabetized the list of Hive Fleets for the 3 seperate arms of the Tyranid invasion.

I'm working on getting another Flash battle report up. Its a really good battle against my old enemies the Tau.

While I'm talking about Battle Reports, it would be great to read about some of the great battles going on during the EOT. If any of you fellow Hive Minds out there have some good battles to report then shoot me an email and I'll post it.

I've been getting better playing the Nids, and alot of that is due to this site and the great support and responses I've been getting. I've even started using a brood of Gargoyles and am seeing the rewards to using them.

I'm still trying to find the time to work on a Flash based online poll. I think it would be super slick if I could get this working and keep a running poll of wins/losses for the EOT campaign (at least for the Hive Fleet Hyrda since they are the biggest concentration of Tyranids.) Hopefully I can get it up and running before the darn EOT is over, lol. But I make no promises.

07/07/2003 - Well I hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday weekend (for those in the States, everyone else over the world I hope you're having a great weekend.) If you have some time over the weekend check out the 2 new Battle Reps from fellow Hive Mind AG. They are both 2 great battle reps that show the strength and weaknesses of the Tyranids.

And if you haven't noticed yet, check out the first (of many) Flash based Battle Rep. I posted it a couple of days ago and have had some positive responses, well on the Flash, not so much the outcome of the battle, lol. It was a challenge to develop but I made in such a way that it will allow me to build future batttle reps in flash faster.

I have another article from Yarium that I'll be posting over the weekend and hopefully another flashed based Battle Rep from your's truely. (but I make no promises ;)

06/29/2003 - The phone company out here officially blows. My DSL still isn't turned on yet and they're saying it might not be offered here. But I digress...

I got a dail-up setup so at least I can check in on the site and make updates on a limited bases. I hope I can get all this straightened out before July is over. I would hate to miss out on the EOT news. I've updated the lists of Hive Fleets and posted another article from Yarium on playing against the Eldar. I'm hoping to finish up on the battle rep #3 and post that live sometime this week. I'm building a Flash based template and its taking a while to develop but once I get it working I have another Battle Rep ready to start working on.

I'm thinking about bringing more features to this site that will be based in Flash. Like an ongoing poll, Flash based maps for the EOT campaign, and maybe even a journal where you fellow Hive Minds can add your very own entries. These are still a ways off, but I hope to include them in the coming months. These would all be super helpful for the EOT Campaign. Stay tuned....

06/23/2003 - The EOT Campaign is in full swing and it seems like more and more Hive Minds are joining the swarm. Its getting to the point that I might have to think of something better for the EOT section of this site.

I'm still waiting on Qworst to get their act together. I'm not sure when I'll get my DSL, hopefully this week. I'll be doing my best to make updates but they could be sporadic for a bit.

Its taking longer then I thought to build the latest Battle Rep. I'm making it in Flash and its been hard to find time with all the moving and work. Thats one of my goals this week is to finish that and post it.

I've updated the EOT Hive Fleet listings and cleaned up the forums alittle. I've got another article to post and hopefully the 3rd Battle Rep this week. I can't wait until I get my DSL back. Thanks to all the fellow Hive Minds out there for your patients during this down time. And good luck in the EOT campaign!!

06/12/2003 - The EOT Campaign begins!!

Due to the overwhelming response on the Forum in regards to the EOT Campaign I've started a quick new section on the website. I now it isn't much right now but I plan to add more to it before the Campaign offically kicks off in July. Once again if anyone else out there wants to help out with content, another website, etc. you are more then welcome. This site is for all the fellow Hive Minds out there, but I'm only 1 mind of the many, so I could use the help, especially with something as encompassing as the EOT Campaign.

So be sure to checkout the new section and sign up there or let me know of a better place to organize the swarming forces of the Tyranid Invasion Fleet.

Ok, tonight I've made some additions to the EOT Section. Hope it works good ;)

06/03/2003 - Posted a 1003pts Army list for Hive Fleet Typhoeus. I also have a new article from Yarium: Adding Your Tyranids to Codex: Eye of Terror. I should have this up live in the next couple of days.

06/02/2003 - Well the Forum was getting alittle long on the page so I cut out alot of the postings from May 2003 and put them in an Archive page. I'll do this for each month in the future. Haven't figured out how to make the newest posting post first on the top of the list instead of at the bottom of the list. Happy Monday!!

06/01/2003 - Posted a new Battle Report for new comer QC. Its a great narrative battle report that pits his Seeding Swarm against a defending Imperial Gaurd force. Its a long read but definatly worth it.

Because of this new addition to the Battle Report Section I created a front index page for the Battle Report section. This will become the index listing for future Battle Reports.

05/30/2003 - The Eye of Terror Campaign is beginning!! To get ready Yarium has submitted a great idea to gather fellow Hive Minds and show the Universe that Tyranids are here to stay!!

I've also received a new Battle Rep from a new Hive Mind (QK) to this site, I'll be posting it sometime this weekend.

Like I warned you fellow Hive Minds, since I started working again (which is great but man I forgot how exhausting work can be! I guess they don't call it work for nothing :) ) so it might take me longer to update the site then before. Your patience is appreciated and your continued support and awesome content is always welcome!!

05/27/2003 - Posted another awesome article by Yarium. This one covers tactics for the Clease Mission. Also I'm looking forward to Yarium's next article on tactics against Eldar. I've been getting more & more interested in the Eldar, esp. since the Eye of Terror campaign is starting.

Also look for an upcoming Battle Rep from Yarium with photos !! I'm really looking forward to future postings/submitions of Battle Reps from fellow Hive Mind's !! Great work Yarium, keep it up!!

05/26/2003 - Ok finally posted the Tau Roster Sheet, and also added a Roster Sheet for the Blood Angels. I'm looking forward to the soon to be submitted Battle Reports by our fellow Hive Minds, including my own. Gavin (the evil Tau player I play against) comes back this week so we might play in the next couple weeks. For future Battle Reps I will be taking better notes and photos during the game so that should spice up the future postings.

On a personal note I finally got a job! First day is tomorrow. So I will be relying on my fellow Hive Minds' continued support and look to them for the ongoing stream of excellent content in the future. thx.

05/20/2003 - Finished some CSS tweaks. I am really happy with the overall response and use of the online Forum, keep it up!!

Posted a new article by Yarium, he talks about fighting the Dark Elder! I must say that strategy and tactics are not my strong points so I greatly appreciate the content for the web site and the info :) Once again if anyone else out there wants to add some content (tactics, battle reps, photos, army lists, etc) just email it to me. Also if anyone has any suggestions about new additions to the site post it on the Forum.

Decided to add an Army List section to the main nav bar on the left. And I posted the 2 army lists that George T posted in the Forum. So feel free to start sending me your army lists via email (they take up alot of room on the Forum so don't post them there) thx.

05/18/2003 - Posted another great article by Yarium. Also changed the references to DC to Yarium :) I'm pleased with how the Forum is working, glad to see people using it, and that it hasn't broken! Keep the content coming everybody and thanks to all for the support!

05/16/2003 - YES!! I got the online Forum working. Although I'm using code from a book I still ran into trouble. It just so happened that the code in the book wasn't correct but the code samples on the book's website was correct. So after comparing the 2 I got it working. No wonder I'm a web designer and not a web developer :P

Well enjoy the new Forum and make sure to post your comments & suggestions. I also got some more content from my loyal viewers that I will be posting over the weekend.

05/14/2003 - Whew took alittle break from the site (painted some mini's, finished & started some terrain, & got over a cold) but I just finished adding some new sections.

04/26/2003 - Started working on this website. My friend who I play against left for his 5 week trip backpacking across Europe so I'm not going to be playing much for awhile. So to keep my mind from lapsing into withdrawls I'm finally building this website. I've started off with a nice and simple layout and some fairly general/generic sections. I'm really leaving this website flexible so that I can build it up as my experience and army grows.

So what the hell is this all about? Well I have always been interested in Warhammer 40k (and recently became interested in Warhammer Fantasy, the new Lizardman army looks awesome!!) I've seen the series grow from first edition (I even have the first edition rulebook) and began playing the game with second edition. I was playing with a Blood Angels army and never won a single battle. But I still really enjoyed the hobby and playing so that helped me stay interested, despite getting my ass kicked every time.

Around the time third edition came out I started making a Tyranid army. I played a few games and then started working so my hobbies really went to the back burner. About a few months ago I really started to get back into the hobby (getting laid off from my job helped with that) and have been playing with my Tyranids again. Unfortunately I started off where I had left off, losing every game. I was getting alittle frustrated and so started looking around the web for sites that had some tactics and strategies for the Nids. I found a handful and also the online game forms on the Games Workshop site, which all provided great resources. I'm happy to say that I've won two games now! Now I know that doesn't sound like alot, but after loosing for so many years (that's right folks... YEARS!!!) it feels great to finally be winning, and learning to use my army effectively.

So this website is really a way for me to share my experiences, and maybe show off alittle (check out my Gallery, and hopefully my increasing victories in the Battle Reports section). Enjoy.
