Personal Notes on playing with the Tyranids

Thi section is focused on notes, tactics, and information for all Hive Minds. Below is a collection of my personal notes and a growing list of submitted articles from fellow playes.

If you have content to add to this section please email them to me and I'll post them. And your ideas and feedback is always encouraged at the Forum.

Read the Tyranid Codex over and over again.
The more gaunts the better. Whenever you think you have enough make more.
Creating your own Hive Fleet is fun and can really make a Hive Fleet that fits your playing style. It seemed alittle intimidating at first, but it's a really nice (and unique) feature of the Nids, so why not take advantage!
Don't forget about using the Fleet of Claw extra movement at the end of your Shooting Phase for your gaunt broods that didn't shoot (which usually is all of them).
Fleshborers are next to useless. (wishing I made my first batch of 16 Termagants models SpineGaunts (guants w/ spinefists, cheapest gaunt there is at 5 pts each).
Remember all of the little sutle rules/characteristics for the Nids. Like the HT (Hive Tyrant) had The Horror psyhic power, it sounds like a useless power but I see some huge potentials against low LD (Leadership) armies.
Raveners can be a very effective unit, but they are hard to learn how to use effectivly. So far they have been getting shot to hell before I can use them in HtH, which is what they are made for.
I still haven't figured out when to pop-up the Lictor from it's hiding place. The most success I had was when I distracted the closest enemy unit with a gaunt brood and then popped up the Lictor and charged into the HtH to back up the gaunts. If you can set this up, then the Lictor is awesome in cleaning (eating??) up the leftovers :)
